Dusseldorf Weather is classified as maritime with great seasonal variations, its patterns tempered by the city’s proximity to the north-eastern coastline. Largely because of the warm, westerly sea breezes that regularly blow in from the North Sea, Dusseldorf Weather is also characterized by its high humidity.
Winters in Dusseldorf are known for their chilliness, particularly at nigh-time. However, conditions remain relatively mild and while during the day the sky is almost permanently overcast and temperatures hover around zero degrees, they very rarely drop bellow freezing point. Frost and snowfall only occasionally penetrate Dusseldorf Weather’s normal patterns, while occasionally the city puts on a rather bleak and damp interface.
As spring rolls in, conditions tend to improve and temperatures begin their steady ascent. The sun wins the battle of supremacy, therefore remaining perched on the sky on an almost permanent basis, pushing temperatures to 10°C / 50° in late March, and to 20°C / 68°F, from May onwards.
During summer, Dusseldorf Weather is predominantly fine and pleasant with temperatures usually hovering between 20–24°C. There is however a downside; although usually short in time span, rain showers are not only frequent during the summer season, but also unpredictable tending to make unannounced appearances.
